The postcard was printed once after the concert, mirroring the 2nd printing of the poster. It measures 5″ x 8 1/16″.

BG007 showcased two bands. Quicksilver Messenger Service and Final Solution. Quicksilver enjoyed major success. Final Solution, though, faded quickly.  Wes Wilson’s artwork is easily readable. His signature letters are prominent, and overlay a cubist, optical illusion background.

Provenance:
While living in San Francisco from 1966-1968, I collected many Haight-Ashbury concert cards. Most of what I have, however, were sent by Bill Graham in 1968. I had asked him about selling concert posters in my soon-to-open Baltimore bookstore, The Aquarian Age Bookstore. They sent me a postcard from each concert as a poster sample. I decorated my walls and journals with some, while others were stored in a zippered leather binder. Despite my many travels, it’s astonishing that they’re still in such fine condition.
