Crystal Garden a Natural Mineralogical Assemblage Vintage Crystal mineral art construction sculptures hand made

It weighs 54.6 gms and is about 1 x 2″point to point at the base, and about 1.75″ high

This is a composition (CG7) of various natural crystals and minerals that may or may not occur together in nature… like an artist’s collage… assembled to create a picture that is pleasing to the eye. The base of this composite sculpture is translucent amethyst, and there is green tourmaline, black tourmaline and albite (?), quartz, and a watermelon tourmaline (best viewed from rear)… a grainy crystalline substrate is used to put it all together.
The photos are of different views all around the piece offered here, and the colors on the photo look about right – remembering they are taken in bright sunlight.

A friend put some of these together in the 1980’s… to serve as a stage for a small sculpture he had cast. I no longer have the sculptures, but have several of these composites – all different. I have used them to stage pieces of jewelry and large faceted stones for photos and used them in display cases at gem shows.
Check them out on ZOOM and if you have any questions, message me for prompt response.

————————————————————————–
I began selling gems and minerals and studying gemology in the late 1980’s. I travelled around the states with gem/mineral and craft shows for a couple of years before settling in Gainesville, FL where I opened a shop called The White Cloud. In 1992, I got a job counseling, packed all the store stuff away and forgot about it until now. What a surprise to find these beautiful crystals and minerals after all that time…
