Eric Burden made his first trip to the States to play this concert with Chuck Berry. BG070 was Greg Irons’ first poster for Bill Graham, a relationship which lasted for only seven more posters, and he completed the rush job overnight.
The postcard was only printed once before the concert. It measures 4 1/2″ x 7 1/4″

Provenance:
While living in San Francisco from 1966-1968, I collected many Haight-Ashbury concert cards. Most of what I have, however, were sent by Bill Graham in 1968. I had asked him about selling concert posters in my soon-to-open Baltimore bookstore, The Aquarian Age Bookstore. They sent me a postcard from each concert as a poster sample. I decorated my walls and journals with some, while others were stored in a zippered leather binder. Despite my many travels, it’s astonishing that they’re still in such fine condition.
