length= 22mm
height = 20mm
weight = 4.18gm
The second photo shows the 14K stamp… I got this ring in 1971, and wore it for a while but put it away when I started playing hand drums… I had to take it off to play and I was afraid I would lose it… It’s been packed away with my gems and jewelry for many years.
The ankh or key of life is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for “life” and, by extension, as a symbol of life itself. The ankh has a cross shape but with an oval loop in place of an upper bar.
“Ankh signs in two-dimensional art were typically painted blue or black. The earliest ankh amulets were often made of gold or electrum, a gold and silver alloy perhaps because its color represented life and regeneration.”
