A FOOL’S ERRAND… the journey cont’d.

It took me a couple years, but finally decided to take my energy out of ETSY and look for another venue. After a while I realized another marketplace wouldn’t be any better for me. It would ultimately be the same way. So I decided to put up a website… and thus began what I’ve been told is a “Fool’s Errand.”

It went sort of like this (I wrote, 11/28/22):

“What are you doing? Are you crazy? You’re 81 and haven’t put up a website in over 20 years. You can’t do this!! Stop!! You’re wasting your time and our money… You don’t know what you’re doing and blah, blah, blah, blah…”

I think we may all have a voice in our head that tells us to go left when we’re going right, or to stop being lazy and get to work, or to stop working ourselves to death, and take a break. It’s our internal critic.

It also echoes the push and pull of society to fall in line and follow the plan.  As a teacher of mine once said, most everything in the world conspires to de-spirit you instead of in-spiriting you. 

Bob Dylan wrote, “…he not busy being born, is busy dying.”
Life is change, so when we get stuck, we have to re-invent ourselves, and keep moving on.  

So here I am…a little older, a little wiser, a lot crazier, and very much enjoying my “Fool’s Errand.”
